About the Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library are a non-profit group of volunteers who provide assistance to the Library. They sponsor book sales and other fund raisers and use the proceeds to help pay for library programs.
Some of the Friends of the Library's funding projects have included support for the Summer Reading Program, support for starting a Books on CD collection, new furniture for the Children's Area and musical compact discs for the Youth Services collection.
The Friends also work as volunteers in the Library. They provide many valuable hours of service mending, wrapping, shelving, and checking in books, among other things.
We are always looking for new members.
